Almaty – 30th of November. Kazakhstan Kagazy JSC has the pleasure to announce the appointment of Taissiya Kogutyuk as new General Director. Mrs. Kogutyuk, is replacing the existing General director who is going to pursue new business projects. Mrs. Kogutyuk has been working for KK since 2003 as Administrative Director. She played a key role in driving the financial debt restructuring process forward and was recommended by the Board to this high position as a competent and experienced manager that can ensure future growth and development of the company. “It is a great honour for me to lead a company I gave a lot of years of my work. I feel responsibility for Kazakhstan Kagazy future and will pay all my efforts to fulfil the tasks set by the Board of Directors” – Mrs. Kogutyuk noted.
In order to increase the transparency of management practices and align it with international standards the Board has furthermore decided to create an Executive Committee. This new Committee will be composed by the senior management of the holding company and senior management of its operational units. The Executive Committee will be tasked with the review of the current operations of the group, with a special focus on further optimising business-processes. Short term plans of the company include inter alia further revision of the organisational structure, this time focusing on evaluation of efficiency of departments such as Finance, Accounting and Legal, where duplications persisted to this day. As a result of this exercise the company foresees to achieve reduced overheads and increased business focus on all of its units.
Further company would also like to announce a consolidation of all of its logistic operations, that is Class A and B warehouses and its Almaty and future Astana container terminals. A new unified and optimized structure will be capable of offering to its customers a full range of logistic services. The new manager responsible will be Mr YM, who in this way is rewarded for the excellent work in rebuilding the Class A warehouse business and achieving record results during the present year 2010.
New appointments demonstrate desire of the Board, with support from its new foreign shareholders to promote young, local talent to top managerial positions. In this same fashion the company has hired an experienced HR company, CASE, to conduct the assessment of all senior and junior managers with the aim to unearth further talent within the group. This exercise is being combined with the implementation of a new compensation policy that will lay the focus on performance related pay.

Taissiya Kogutyuk is a graduate of St. Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions with a major in Law. Worked as a chief legal advisor of KazTransCom company as well as held various positions in Klipin&Partners Law Firm. In the most recent 7 years was Administrative Director in Kazakhstan Kagazy.
Yermek Mubarakov holds a Master’s degree in engineering of Tomskiy Polytechnical University, as well as MBA with a major in Strategic Management of Institute of Business Studies under the Government of Russian Federation (Moscow). From 2004 was holding various management positions in Kazakhstan Kagazy group.
