SOCIAL Responsibility

We regard "social responsibility" as achieving commercial success by following ethical norms and respecting people, society and environment.

In the constantly changing environment, one of the Company's targets is integrating its business into the social life of the society and making a contribution into its development, as it is the healthy and mature society that is prerequisite for the success of any business.

The Company sticks to the following principles in conducting its sponsoring and charity initiatives:

  • Sponsoring and charity initiatives serve the interests of the society, as well as those of the Company.
  • The Company actively cooperates with the government, as well as public and private organisations.

June, 2008 - Alpinism and Rock-climbing Federation of RK have spent First Open Competition on alpinism technique in Tuyuk-Su Hole during 21 – 22 June, 2008. Alpinists from Almaty, Shymkent and Bishkek took participation in First Open Competition. The action was sponsored by “Kazakhstan Kagazy” JSC.

May, 2008 - Ten kazakhstani alpinists, who took participation in Asia Alpinism Championship had been provided with Financial Support sponsored by “Kazakhstan Kagazy” JSC. The venue of Championship was in Hwang Ji, Guang Dong province, China

November, 2006 - The Company sponsored a climbers' team from Kazakhstan to participate in the Asia Championship in Taipei, Taiwan.

25-29 August, 2006 - The Company provided financial support to Kazakh climbers' team participating in the World Youth Rock Climbing Championship, which took place in Imste, Austria.

November, 2005 - First Asian Indoors Games took pace in Bangkok. Kazakhstan Kagazy sponsored five participants on climbing.

25-28 August, 2005 - The Company supported the World Youth Rock-Climbing Championship which took place in Peking, China. Five Kazakh sportsmen participated in the Championship.

April - May, 2005 - Kazakhstan Kagazy sponsored a Kazakh expedition to Dhaulagiri- Annapurna, the Himalayas, China.

9-30 November, 2005 - The Company provided financial support to "Kazakhstan-Antarctica-2005" expedition team, which included seven Kazakh alpinists. The team conquered two anonymous peaks, which were later named as Kazakhstan and Astana.

22 June -5 August, 2005 - Company sponsored alpinists' expedition from Kazakhstan to Broud Peak (8047 m), Karakorum, Pakistan. Two sportsmen took part in this expedition.

11 July - 10 September, 2005 - Kazakhstan Kagazy provided financial support to five participants of the expedition to Chogory Peak ("K2") (8611 m), Karakorum, Pakistan.

1 - 5 July, 2005 - The Company sponsored five alpinists in UIAA World Championship which took place in Munich, Germany.

29-31 July, 2005 - II Part of the Kazakhstan Sport Climbing Cup took place in Almaty, 43 sportsmen participated in the Cup.

9 May, 2005 - Kazakhstan Kagazy sponsored the Kazakhstan Sport Climbing Cup named after General Panfilov. 51 climbers participated in it.

1 May, 2005 - Kazakhstan Kagazy sponsored a song festival "Lilovii Veter 2005"

April - May, 2005 - The Company provided support to the Kazakh expedition to Cho-Oyu (8201 m), the Himalayas.

25 December, 2004 - Kazakhstan Kagazy made a significant financial contribution to the Open High-Speed Rise Kazakhstan Championship to Amangeldy Peak (3970 m), Tuyuk-Su gorge, Almaty; 68 sportsmen took part in it.
